Andrew Laithwaite (Independent Financial Adviser & Managing Director)
Andrew is the Managing Director and oversees the day to day management of the firm. Prior to setting up Laithwaite Financial Services Ltd, Andrew was the Manager of the Financial Services Department for Robbins Olivey Solicitors. Prior to that he was employed by Sun Life as a Financial Adviser and has over 20 years' experience in dispensing financial advice. Andrew is authorised by the FSA.
Carol McFadden (Mortgage Adviser)
Having worked as a self employed mortgage adviser for several years, Carol McFadden set up MortgageBox in January 2003 to offer independent mortgage advice and associated products and services. Carol has now joined the Laithwaites team to form MortgageBox at Laithwaites. With more than 20 years experience in the mortgage industry, including working as a mortgage underwriter, Carol is authorised by the FSA to offer advice on all types of regulated mortgage contract (including lifetime mortgages) and non-investment general insurance products.
Julian Strauss (Certified Financial Planner (CFP))
Julian joined the firm in the middle of 2008 following a successful career in Bancassurance and deals predominently with the firm's investment clients, advising on Individual Savings Accounts, Unit Trusts and Investment Bonds. Julian also has considerable experience in the Personal Pension market.
Phil Robinson (Chartered Financial Planner)
Philip is a Chartered Financial Planner with over 25 years' experience in financial services, having worked for both a National Firm of Financial Advisers and Standard Life. Philip is authorised by the FSA to provide advice in a number of areas and is the firm’s Corporate Specialist, providing guidance to companies in the Employee Benefits arena. Philip has extensive experience in retirement planning.
Sian Conway (Chartered Financial Planner)
Sian joined Laithwaites in 2009 bringing with her over 20 years' experience in financial services. Sian has previously worked for an Employee Benefit Consultancy, Legal & General and Zurich. Sian is authorised by the FSA to provide advice across the financial spectrum. Sian is also qualified to provide advice on Long Term Care allowing her to offer a specific insight into family cases and power of attorney. Sian also specialises in pension and divorce cases.
Tim Framp (Trainee Paraplanner)
Tim has been working within the financial services industry since 2002 primarily for asset management firms based locally and within the City. Since joining Laithwaites as a Paraplanner in 2007, Tim provides research support to Andrew and all the Advisers.
Sophie Day (Mortgage Administrator)
Sophie has worked in the financial services industry since 2002 when she joined a small financial services company in Ripley as a part time secretary, eventually specialising in mortgage administration. In 2004 Sophie completed her Certificate for Financial Advisers (CeFA) and subsequently passed CeMAP Bridge, which qualified her to give mortgage advice and has since worked with Carol McFadden.
Sharon Mitchell (Administrator)
Sharon has worked in the financial services industry since 1984. She spent 13 years working in the head office of Crown Financial Management and since 1997 has provided administrative support to Independent Financial Advisers and joined Laithwaites in 2006.
Bonnie Souter (Administrator)
Bonnie joined Laithwaite Financial Services as a full time Administrator in 2009, having held similar posts in a variety of sectors since 2002. Bonnie studied Related Arts at Chichester University, before obtaining Secretarial & Business English qualifications with the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2002.
Jane Coxon (Administrator)
Jane joined Laithwaites as a part time Administrator in December 2009, having previously worked in marketing within the retail sector. Jane recently completed Pitman's Training Executive PA Diploma.
John Hamp (Compliance Officer)
After a long career working as the Compliance Officer for a number of large IFA firms in the South, John now provides Compliance support to Laithwaites.
