The role

You will use your technical knowledge of investments, pensions and protection to make detailed client recommendations within a defined investment proposition. You will be used to delegating research and report writing, ensuring that high levels of client service are always maintained. You will be supported by proficient and knowledgeable paraplanners and administrators.

Typical responsibilities

  • Client meetings, both initial and review, recording all relevant information
  • Analysing information to recommend suitable strategies and products
  • Writing client reports with appropriate and compliant disclosures and illustrations
  • Scheduling review meetings with clients in keeping with their agreed terms
  • Ensuring that client files are up to date and complete

Ideal candidate

  • Level 4 Diploma minimum, Level 6 Advanced preferred, familiar with MS Office and FE Analytics
  • Competent in investments, pensions including transfers, corporate schemes, tax allowances, protection
  • Conscientious and diligent, likely to have at least three years’ experience
  • Aware of applicable legislation, guidance and best practice
  • Excellent command of English, both verbal and in writing

Location: Woking, Surrey

The role

As compliance officer you will identify, assess and manage regulatory risks, presenting pragmatic solutions that benefit our clients and the business. You will work closely with financial advisers, paraplanners and the administration team to ensure that compliant best practice underpins our business.

Typical responsibilities

  • Monitoring paraplanning, suitability, client files and advice, offering constructive feedback as appropriate
  • Regulatory reporting including Gabriel returns, professional standards and competency, report & accounts
  • Advising on practical compliance with regimes such as GDPR, MiFID II and SM&CR
  • Create, edit and maintain registers, policies and procedures as required
  • Deliver training and presentations to colleagues to increase compliance knowledge and awareness

Ideal candidate

  • Level 4 Diploma, familiarity with FCA requirements for an authorised IFA firm
  • Knowledge of FCA rules around investments, pensions including DB transfers, protection
  • Conscientious and diligent, likely to have at least two years’ experience in a similar role
  • Able to support and motivate others whilst being sensitive to their roles and priorities
  • A confident and positive ‘can do’ approach to this standalone role

Salary: £35,000-£45,000

Location: Woking, Surrey

The role

As senior paraplanner, you will use your technical knowledge and expertise to analyse client needs, write recommendation reports and improve the planning process. Working closely with our financial advisers, you will also be supported by a highly proficient administration team.

Typical responsibilities

  • Attending client meetings with financial advisers when required
  • Analysing client information from fact find, existing records and meeting notes
  • Researching products and services to make suitable recommendations
  • Writing compliant client reports with appropriate disclosures and illustrations
  • Maintaining relationships with product and service providers

Salary: £20,000-£30,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: Woking, Surrey

The role

You will be the first point of contact for all visitors and telephone enquiries to the company, so you need to be friendly, professional and unflappable. You will be a reliable timekeeper and able to organise your own workload. Among other things, you will need to update client schedules accurately, request and chase portfolio information from providers and manage office supplies and stationery.

Typical responsibilities

  • Welcoming visitors, preparing meeting rooms and refreshments as needed
  • Maintaining phone systems, copiers and printers, including ordering and fitting consumables
  • Using MS Word and Excel to create and update client communications
  • Preparing client folders for review meetings and filing client notes in paper and electronic formats
